(Australian Bureau of Statistics, 2018).
There are many stereotypes about homeless people, such as they are criminals and it’s their fault because of bad decisions, like using drugs. In reality, many of them are escaping domestic abuse or suffering from mental health problems. Drug use can also be considered a health problem rather than a criminal problem. Society can help homeless people by treating their all of their problems, as well as having nowhere to live, rather than just trying to put them out of sight. Structures, like hostile architecture, do not actually make the problem go away.
